iMad
Heartland Rural Health Network, Inc.’s (HRHN) iMAD Program, through the assistance of ACYF and our committed community partners, provides in-school sexual health education to Highlands County Middle School and High School students. In the 2016-2017 school year, we were able to provide in-school sexual health education using approved, evidence-based curriculum. This was facilitated by health educators trained in the curriculums to over 2,500 Highlands County students.
iMAD stands for “I Make a Difference” reflecting HRHN’s belief that students can make a difference by making informed choices about their lives. Our health educators work hard on providing students a safe environment to be provided facts about sexual health. We encourage students to think about how the choices they make today, tomorrow, and in the near future can affect the rest of their lives. We also love educating the community and parents on ways to talk to their children about sexual health.
